Solution: ~I tryed running sfc /scannow but it said "found some corrupt files but couldn't fix em" ~Using Powershell as administrator, I first ran DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth but encountered an error saying "The source files could not be found. I can open flr example Firefox with no problems and when i disk check it yields no problems.Įdit 3: problem fixed! Thank you all for the responses! Here is the solution i used: The disk usage isn't alway at 100 either.
#Ctrl alt delete not unlocking computer Pc#
When i click for example language options, the pc becomes unresponsive. I can right click on the desktop and such but still cant open settings. It is always showing me the gear icon.Įdit 2: After a Couple more futile attempts at a fix which consisted of clean boot and a lot of restarts, i believe the cause is windows itself and not a program.
Thanks in advance.Įdit 1: forgot to mention, windows settings won't open at all. I have urgent business with my PC all the time so help would be very appreciated. Most of the time, i can do that blue box selection thing on the desktop and if i were to open a program, i can move freely within it, sometimes the mouse freaks out and it registers an area other than the cursor as where the cursor is, but the interesting thing is the i am able to use the computer as it was for a very short while when i press ctrl alt del and close the window that comes up.
When i opened the pc back up, i was unable to click anything. I chose restart later and ı restarted about 10 seconds after choosing this.
The issue started when Windows said there may be disk problems and suggested i restart to fix. İ am unable to open programs or bring up programs that are already open. As the title suggests, my pc becomes unresponsive soon after startup where i can freely move the mouse but if i try to open, say, options, the gear icon is there but it won't open.
